A personal experience at the origin of ATS E-BIKE

My name is Rui Sousa and, for some time now, electric bikes had piqued my curiosity. Two of my friends were already using them, but what they told me about them wasn't particularly exciting: they were expensive bikes for what they actually seemed to offer.
Until the day a speeding ticket temporarily cost me my driver's license.
I had to find another way to get around. I did a lot of research, compared different models, and chose the one that I felt best suited what I was looking for.
And that is when my perception of the electric bike completely changed.
Perhaps because I had chosen a bike different from those my friends used, my experience was very different from what they had told me.
I quickly understood that the idea I had of an electric bike was very far from reality.
It wasn't just a bike that helped me pedal. It was enjoyable, practical, and it gave me true freedom.
I could easily make trips that I probably wouldn't have made with a regular bike, and I began to realize that, for many daily commutes, the car wasn't actually that essential.
What had started as a temporary solution became a real discovery.
Even after getting my driver's license back, I continued to use my bike.
And a question started to come back to me:
"If I only understood the true potential of an electric bike after trying one, how many people are still unaware today of everything an electric bike can bring them?"
It is from this experience that ATS E-BIKE was born.

Our work begins long before the sale

There are many electric bike sellers today, but when you start looking into who is actually behind their design and production, the world becomes much smaller.
The electric bike industry is complex. Different companies can be involved in the development, manufacturing, assembly, and marketing of the same product, and two bikes that look similar can hide significant differences.
This is precisely what we discovered when we studied this market more closely.
At ATS E-BIKE, our work does not begin when a bike goes on sale. It starts long before that.
We seek out partners, study different manufacturers and models, compare components, features, equipment, and prices, and look to understand what can be improved on each bike.
We communicate directly with our suppliers, look for solutions, and select the models that align with what we want to offer at ATS E-BIKE:
Good, well-equipped bikes at a fair price.
We are not simply looking to increase the number of models in our catalog.
We want to know what we are selling, understand where our bikes come from, and continually seek better solutions for our customers.
This work is never truly finished. The market evolves, new components appear, batteries improve, and new models and solutions emerge.
And we continue to search, compare, test, and improve our selection.

Finding the bike that suits you — and staying by your side

One of the things I have learned from my own experience is that choosing an electric bike isn't enough. You have to choose the one that truly suits you.
We don't all have the same needs.
Some are looking for an electric bike for their daily commute to work.
Others want to leave the car at home more often.
Some prioritize long battery life for long rides, while others need to transport groceries, equipment, or even their children.
And then, there are simply those who want to rediscover the pleasure of cycling, knowing they can count on electric assistance when they need it.
That is why we don't believe there is one perfect bike for everyone.
We believe there is a bike suited to every person, every need, and every way of riding.
This philosophy guides the selection of ATS E-BIKE bicycles.
Buying an electric bike is an important decision. And for us, our role doesn't end the moment you place your order.
We want to be available to answer your questions, help you choose the model best suited to your needs, and support you whenever you need us.
Before the purchase, during delivery, or after you have received your bike, you need to know who to turn to.
Because selling a bike is one thing.
Earning and keeping the buyer's trust is much more important.
